It’s finally that time of year again! If you’re looking for a creative Bullet Journal Advent Calendar to add some cozy magic to your December pages, you’re in exactly the right place. With my free 2025 Advent Calendar printable, you can easily create your very own Christmas countdown spread — complete with 24 doors until Christmas. All you need is the freebie template (download below), a pair of scissors, a pen, some glue, washi tape, and a little time for creativity. Let’s get started! How the bullet journal advent calendar works

The 2025 Advent Calendar freebie includes 24 cozy little houses and 24 notes (available in both German and English). If you need the German version of this guide, simply switch the language in the menu above.

Each door contains a small note filled with mindfulness, creativity, or warm encouragement — perfect for a daily dose of joy throughout December. Starting on December 1st, we’ll open one of the 24 houses every day for a simple, handmade Christmas countdown.

Create Your Bullet Journal Advent Calendar 2025 (Using My Free PDF)

Step 1: Print the Advent Calendar Template

Download and print the template on A4 paper.Make sure to select “actual size”, choose landscape orientation, and — if possible — print in high quality. Turn off double-sided printing.

Next, open a double spread in your bullet journal or grab an A4 sheet if you prefer to hang your calendar. Cut out all the little houses and fold them carefully. Be sure to fold the left white tab backwards (as shown in the photos).

Plan your layout before gluing — I love mixing up the numbers so I have to search for the right door each day! But you can arrange them in numerical order if you prefer a clean look. If you want to add a headline or lettering title, leave space at the top or write it first.

Step 2: Cut Out the Notes

Cut out the 24 notes and place each one directly inside the matching house number. This helps avoid mixing them up and keeps the process simple and fun.

Step 3: Seal the Doors with Washi Tape

Use small pieces of your favorite washi tape to close each door — it keeps the houses secure without tearing the paper. As a final touch, I like to letter the header using a Micron No. 03 pen for a clean, crisp look.
